Sr. IT Developer (REF# BI-SITD 2024)

Responsible for business intelligence solutions and reporting for enterprise and corporate business units. Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, and major enhancement of existing systems. Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects. Gather and analyze user and business requirements, write and document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs. Implement software and customize to client requirements. Debug, troubleshoot, and provide production support. Write code for moderately complex system designs. Write programs that span platforms. Write code for enhancing existing programs or developing new programs. Review code developed by other Developers. Provide input to and drive programming standards. Report missing elements found in system and functional requirements and explain impacts on subsystem to team members. Perform unit testing and debugging. Set test conditions based upon code specifications. Document what must be migrated.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Developer, Business Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. (Alternatively, we will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field plus 2 years of experience a Software Developer, Business Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation gained before during or after Master’s degree.) Position reports to our Bear, DE office and requires ability to travel, and relocate, to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to work on short-term and long-term projects.
